Welcome to the “Introduction to Wetland Assessments” course!
This course has been designed as a precursor to the "Tools for Wetland Assessments" course, to introduce you to the wetland ecosystem concepts and skills you need to be able to do wetland assessments and apply the WET-Health and WET-Ecosystem Tools. There is a pre-course assignment that you need to do before the course starts - this will help us see "where you're at" in terms of your wetland knowledge, and will also help you navigate the student portal and online course. Please make sure you download the pre-course assignment and upload your submission before the first day of the course.
We will also be working with QGIS - a free GIS package, that is easily available. If you haven't yet used QGIS then please download it before the course starts. We will take you through setting up a project in one of the tutorials.
